Our Great God and His Love By Troy Culp We call ourselves Christians which means a disciple of Christ and that is what we are if we have asked Jesus into our hearts. He is a personal Savior, He cares what we are going through and He wants us to know how much He loves us. Sometimes I think we think of Him as a small God not really thinking of the greatness of the God we serve. In Psalm 19:1 the Word say "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork." Even the things of the earth declare the wonder of God and His handiwork. How anyone can look at the skies, trees, birds and all the things the Lord has created and say there is no God is beyond me. I know for sure Satan has to have these people blinded. I pray some day before they die that their eyes will be opened to the reality of Christ and what He has done for all of His creation and for them too. The thing that amazes me more than anything is when you look at all the Lord has created and all the billions of people that are alive today is the fact the He still cares for me despite of all the sins I have committed. He still cares for me and He cares for you too. When we try to buy something, we have to pay the price that is set upon it. To determine what something is worth we look at what it is made of and how much effort was put into it to manufacture it. We also have to see how much someone is willing to pay for it. If someone pays $1,000 for something that it costs $10 to produce then that makes the value of that product $1,000 not $10. When we think of what we are worth, we have to figure what the Lord paid for us. He gave His only Son for us. So that is what the Father thinks we are worth. We are the apple of His eye. |
