TROY'S TROPHIES
Jesus Was Not There For Us!
By Troy Culp

We all have been told that Jesus is always there for us. I know there has been times in my life and I am sure in your life when we felt that Jesus had left us all alone. When we look back on the event we know that Jesus was there for us all along. He was there giving us what only a loving, powerful, blood-Brother could give. Sometimes He is on the outside looking to see how we will handle a situation and waiting to see if we will ask Him for help to make it through. One example was when Jesus was walking on the water and was about to pass by the disciples and they called to Him for help during a storm. He then responded to them in their time of need. You can read about it in Mark 6:45-52.

Friend, there was a time when Jesus was not there for you and I. He left us in a sad time when all hope for the future was broken. It was when Mary went to the tomb and ask who she thought was the gardener where the body of Jesus was. The angel told her that He was not there but risen just as He said He would be. Praise God, He was not there, showing us He had conquered death, hell and the grave. That is what is different from Christianity and all the other belief systems of the world. Buddha is in the grave. Mohammad is in the grave. Confucius is in the grave, but praise God we have a Savior that has triumphed over death, hell, the grave and is risen, sitting at the right hand of the Father! His name is Jesus! We can joyfully celebrate the fact that Jesus is not in the grave. He is truly risen indeed! (Luke 24:34) Amen.
