Are You Holding Your Peace? By Troy Culp God will give us what we need. When I think of my needs I am reminded of the scripture that God will supply all our need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. "And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Amplified Version, Philippians 4:19) I remember a time I worked in a factory when they were laying people off left and right. Everybody was affected either by the layoff or by losing a job class or two. Sharyn and I prayed and stood on the Word and believed God to supply all our needs during this four-month tenure. Not only did I not get laid off, I didn't even lose a job class and I received the same amount of pay as I had been paid previously. God moved some things around and got the job done. When God moves on our behalf, Satan always get mad and believe you me, he got mad and raised his head through people who were upset. Friend, when you hold your peace and let the Lord fight your battles, you will be blessed. "The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." (Exodus 14:14) "You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord (Who is) with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you." (Amplified Version, II Chronicles 20:17) You will see victory and God will receive the glory. "But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory (making us conquerors) through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Amplified, I Corinthians 15:57) "Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and dominion, for You created all things; by Your will they were (brought into being) and were created." (Amplified Version, Revelation 4:11) |
