"Therefore, we must be thankful that we have a kingdom that
cannot be shaken. Because we are thankful, we must serve
God with fear and awe in a way that pleases him" (Heb. 12:28).
Precious Ones, greetings to you in the name of His Majesty! Thank you for once again giving us the honor and privilege of sharing the "good news" with you. Being able to "love on you" through the Word and the Spirit gives us overflowing joy and thankfulness to His Majesty and to you!
As I was thinking about this Thanksgiving message, Holy Spirit impressed on my heart this message was going to be considerably different than most traditional Thanksgiving messages. The word "triumph" kept coming to my heart and that we should be thankful that no matter what is going on in our world, and there is much as we can all attest to, and no matter what is going on in our personal lives, and there is much transition in all our lives presently, we can triumph! Hallelujah! In Jesus we triumph! If that isn't something for which to be thankful I personally do not know what would be. Amen. Think about the fact that Jesus has already paid the price for us to "triumph" in every circumstance and situation no matter how "bad" it may "look in the natural realm". When we look through the "eyes of faith" and apply God's promises, His Word, to our circumstances and situations, we know He will make a way for us to triumph in the natural realm. We have no doubt in our hearts there would be no way for us to make it in "triumph" otherwise. Oh, our precious Jesus! When Our Father gave His only Son Jesus to die on an old rugged cross for us, His King's Kids, and Jesus was obedient to yield His will to the Father's, He truly, for sure, made a way for us, His King's Kids, "this side of heaven" to triumph in this life. Mere words can hardly express to you the gratitude I feel in my heart and my heartfelt thankfulness to our Father, the Son and Holy Spirit! Why? Because every day as we walk this "faith" journey and keep our eyes on the Truth, the real Truth, we really, for real, can walk our situations or circumstances out in triumph - "victory - success" and live an abundant life! Amen. Amen. Amen. Keep in mind, your circumstances or situations may change but Jesus does not change. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever. The Word of God is settled in heaven forever. Precious Ones, we are a part of a Kingdom that cannot be shaken. What a foundation Jesus has given us upon which to build our lives! Amen.
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10, KJV).
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever" (Heb. 13:8)
"Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven" (Psalm 119:89).
"This is what the Almighty LORD says: I am going to lay a rock in Zion, a rock that has been tested, a precious cornerstone, a solid foundation. Whoever believes (in him) will not worry" (Isaiah 28:16) (GW).
Precious Ones, this brings us to another point:
"Because we are thankful we must serve God with fear and awe in a way that pleases him" (Heb. 12:28b).
What better way to show God how thankful we are this Thanksgiving, and every day for that matter, than to serve His Majesty with fear (reverence) and awe in a way that pleases Him? After all, this is not about us, although at times we tend to forget this when we get caught up in the cares of this world and the busyness of our lives. This is about the King of Kings, our Lord of Lords, and the establishment of His Kingdom come, His will be done on earth, as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:10). Amen.
We believe the scriptures enumerated below give us some guidance as to how we can serve His Majesty with fear and awe in a way that pleases Him. Amen.
"But as for me, by Your abundant lovingkindness I will enter Your house, at Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You" (Psalm 5:7) (NASB).
"Let all the earth fear Jehovah: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him (Psalm 33:8) (ASV).
"God, You are awe-inspiring in Your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives power and strength to His People. May God be praised!" (Psalm 68:35) (HCBS)
